There is an award that is given out each year called the Nobel Peace Prize. The award goes to the person who demonstrated either a great compassion for peace or expended great efforts to bring peace to our planet. I have reviewed these recipients and their efforts over the years and what I find is that their efforts, while valiant, did bring a lasting peace to the world
True peace is only possible when any of us comes to the realization that true peace comes only from God. We can only know true peace when some very important questions of life are answered.
Who are we and what is real purpose here in the world? When we come to grips with our frail fallen human state, we become aware of our need to be rescued, to be redeemed from our great sin nature.
How can we be redeemed? Only one way, through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. When we become his followers, the doorway to things eternal and glorious are opened to us.
Once we have redemption, we are now the recipients of his promises. One of the best is true peace. To know no matter what, we are loved and freed from our past life of fear and doubt!
