As wonderful as the world is, it is filled with its share of disappointment, heart ache and pain. The journey we are on will contain its own share of worldly misery. We need someone who can elevate us in dark times, someone who can save us.
For me, the focus on the kingdom of God does just that, it elevates my heart, my life to the places of the Lord. In doing so, my hope in the Lord explodes in the midst of my life and I truly yearn for his presence. I am transformed from a creature of this world to a child of God whose home is in the heavenly places.
