Redeemed!

“For this is what the high and exalted One says— he who lives forever, whose name is holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite. I will not accuse them forever, nor will I always be angry, for then they would faint away because of me— the very people I have created.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭57‬:‭15‬-‭16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Today we celebrate Christmas! The day God of all creation, the holy God sent his Son to earth as promised. Why, because He loves his creation. He wanted to be able to in relationship with us, the low and contrite. His desire was to save the world, to save those who would accept his Son and worship Him.

He will revive the spirit of the lowly, the humble. He will restore the heart of the contrite, those who seek forgiveness. He will not accuse us forever for a perfect sacrifice has been given, Jesus. From the birth we celebrate today came the very instrument of salvation we desperately needed.

Our God seeks to restore, to redeem his creation that was lost. He seeks to dwell in the midst of his people. How glorious a gift we have been given to be saved by his grace because he loves us.
