What is the Result?

“The fear of the Lord leads to life; then one rests content, untouched by trouble.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭19‬:‭23‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The obvious question that will be asked about any train of thought, any truth that is taught is simply what is the result of that belief? If we choose to believe something,  what will be the outcome of our actions? Based on what we think will be the end product, we will develop a faith for our beliefs. The better the result anticipated about something, the greater faith we will have in it.

When I read today’s verse, I find a great anticipation about this promise of being content! Being content rolls together several great needs into one:  provision, understanding, peace and protection. When we come to a point where we find these needs being fulfilled in our lives, we are able to be content. Content with our circumstances, content with our place in life for we know whom we trust in.
