If there is anything we desire in the year to come, would it not be knowing the right way to go? If we are on the right path in our life, we gain a confidence and a boldness because we are headed in the right direction. Being so armed, our lives can so much more productive and bear so much more abundance than if we struggle with our direction.
So how do find the right path for our lives? David asked the same question in this psalm above, search me Lord, test me and know my heart so I can be lead in our way that is everlasting. God already knows your heart my friends, the question is will we submit to his will or seek to do our own. One of the great things about our God is that he already knows everything about you, everything! Yet, He loves you with a perfect love.
When we realize that God knows it all, omniscient in all that he does, we can finally trust him with all our lives. Omniscient means, Omni- all and science means all that is known, He knows all that is there is to know, no gaps. No unknowns. He knows the beginning from the end and all the in between. Since He knows all this and more, why do we struggle against his will for our lives? His desire is for us to prosper, to give us his grace and mercy.
