“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.”

Tonight and every night you seek to rest and recover in a good nights sleep, keep that verse in mind. In peace you will lie down, in peace you will sleep for the Lord is with you. The Lord makes me dwell in his safety. To often when we approach the time for rest and slumber, we cannot find that peace, that peace to turn off our minds, cool down our worries and rest in his safety.
It is almost the opposite for many of us. We are concerned about almost everything and almost nothing at all . But , we worry about it, examine it, schedule it into our day and ponder solutions to it all. We have no peace at times for we have not learned how to rest in the Lord with our lives. He tells us we shall have peace if we dwell in him.
I wonder at times why we are so burdened with all the details of life when we have a Father in Heaven who can supply all that we could ever need. In peace we can lie down and know we are protected if we abide in his awesome presence!
