He gives eternal life to each one you have given him. And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. I brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. Now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began.”
John 17:1-5 NLT
Everything we read in the Bible leads us to showcase the love and grace of our God. The “Gospel” is about God’s plan of salvation for all of mankind. This prayer by Jesus shows us that God designed the Gospel to reach all men for his glory. That God has given Jesus all authority and through him we are given eternal life! The Gospel is the main event, the act of love unparalleled in human history.
If there is one decision you will make in your life, make it for Jesus. Jesus has completed the work of redemption and now sits at the right hand of the Father making intercession for you. When we choose Jesus, God no longer sees us as lost but Christ who lives in us.
Salvation is more than a ticket to heaven. It is a life of power, love, forgiveness and healing for us now. Salvation deals with all of us not just our spirit. We are restored spiritually, physically and emotionally. We have hope never evident before. We have peace and joy that knows no bounds. We truly are new creatures in Christ designed to glorify our Father.
Today is the day the Lord has made! Proclaim your faith in Jesus and take the Gospel with wherever you go. It is the Good News mankind desperately needs to hear. The Gospel will change your life forever but it will also impact the world we live in.
