Walk in Faithful Confidence Not Condemnation

“Even if we feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings, and he knows everything. Dear friends, if we don’t feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭3‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We have seasons where our confidence grows in the Lord or dwindles due to life’s circumstances. I have found there are two areas of life that can diminish my confidence in my Father; self condemnation or a compulsion that I need to do more for the kingdom by trying to be perfect.

Self condemnation is a deadly tool that is used against people by the devil to manipulate their lives and keep God’s love and forgiveness from taking root and flourishing in their hearts. Our word today tells us that God is greater than our feelings and his forgiveness pours out to us everyday. The cross was vital to pay the price of our sin, our failures. Paul tells us in Romans that there is now no condemnation in Christ Jesus.

Second, we believe we must accomplish more, be more, strive more in our walk with Jesus. We become perfection driven when we should be worship driven. God will reveal to us our tasks and callings but we must make room for his spirit to lead us and teach us along the way.

When we remove guilt and doubt in lives, we can walk with our Lord in bold confidence! We need to step away from any form of condemnation and move forward in our confidence in the loving God we serve.

In Christ
