One of the most dangerous traps we believers can fall into is the pursuit of the favor of man. We begin to care more what people think about us than what the Lord thinks of us. We become directed in our lives with what might make us popular rather than what makes us effective for the kingdom. The danger here is evident, we start to place more value on opinion than God’s Word and direction.
Some facts here for all our use:
1. You can’t please everyone!
2. You don’t need to please everyone, just the Lord.
3. Rejection by people will not destroy a person who is grounded in the Lord.
We are not put here on earth to please mankind but placed here by God to be his instruments in the great work of salvation of mankind. Surely we will love others but our focus is on what Gods has for to do not what is popular.
Remember, God will not love you less for what you don’t do. He won’t love you more for what you do. He already loves you completely! Just stay focused on his plan for you and you will be in his good pleasure! That my friends is a great place to be!
