There are two royal commands from our Lord: love the Lord with all your heart and love your neighbor. Neither of these commands can be accomplished by us until we are truly able to grasp that we ourselves are loved. The heart is a marvelous thing that has the capacity for great good or great harm. When we understand that we as we are, are loved by our creator, we find the ability to love others is unleashed.
The prophet of God relays God’s own words about how much he loves us! My faithful love will always remain and covenant with you will never be broken! God tells us that he loves us, that we are lovable. When we are able to fully understand this glorious truth for our lives, we can then begin to love as God intended us to. Our hearts are transformed into vessels of his grace and mercy and our sphere of compassion is enlarged.
Some of greatest blessings are contingent on our ability to understand that we are special to God, forgiven of God and eternally loved by him. Let us walk in the power of God’s faithful love for us today and everyday!
