Be Considerate of Others

“Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

There are several major transitions that occur we move from being lost in our sin nature to being found in God’s loving plan of redemption. One of the toughest is taking the focus off ourselves and begin to focus on others. We are such a me first kind of people that this transition can only take place by the power of God’s love for us!

When we remember how we called out to God in our times of affliction. We asked to be remembered and not forgotten , heard not ignored and loved no matter the circumstance. Then we can feel for others who are praying the same prayers. The old saying is to seek to understand before we hope to be understood. Our fellow man needs the same fellowship and compassion we crave and want.

Paul tells us to bind ourselves not in our needs but in the garments of love and that we are bound together in his peace. Thus peace comes from our Lord Jesus and is the fruit of living a life centered on love and service for others. Being kind, considerate of others is the real evidence of Christ’s love in our lives. When we walk in such love we will understand how much we have to thankful for in Christ!

Make service to others the hallmark of your life and reap the bounty of God’s good pleasure in your life!

In Christ
