Stop Thinking, Start Doing

“Now someone may argue, “Some people have faith; others have good deeds.” But I say, “How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds.””
‭‭James‬ ‭2‬:‭18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I am a firm believer that we are doing way too much thinking about our faith in Jesus and not nearly enough doing! We believers are wrapped up in academic debate about what the Word says and what we should do about it. There may be a direct correlation between our faith actions and the power we see in our lives. We need to spend much more time in motion, in the doing of faith deeds than talking about it.

The Word is clear to us that we can show our faith by the good deeds we do! It is the evidence of faith by what we do for the kingdom, not what we say or debate. I would like to challenge us all by asking us to prove our faith in God by stepping out and doing the work of the kingdom. Makes no sense that we argue about faith if we are not fully engaged in the work of faith.

There see opportunities that abound around us to put our hands to and trust in our Lord that he will provide for their completion. Let us be people of action not dialogue. Let us help those in need today and take real action to reduce the suffering of our world. We are called to make a difference and we should begin today to show the Lord’s love to the world.

In Christ
