Let Go and Let God!

“Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you. Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37‬:‭5‬, ‭7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

These few words capture one of the most difficult issues of our faith walk with Jesus, letting go and letting God have control. God’s desire is that we surrender our lives to him, but we struggle to do so for many reasons. How about following his lead without knowing where he is taking us? Or, the classic, waiting upon his timing in our moments of trouble or affliction?

Then there is believing God for a miracle in your life and not knowing how he will provide it? And then there is trusting his purposes without understanding the how and why of his plan for your life? Do any of these sound familiar to you because you have experienced them. Does these kind of moments help to frame why let go and let God concept is so difficult.

Scripture uses words like commit, submit, surrender and trust him. These go against our fallen human nature and make these action words tough to live by. But, we must get past the moment and frame this struggle as the Lord wants us to, as a life changer, an eternity builder. These words of faith that give us a Godly sense and presence are the agents of a life of power, peace and compassion. They will usher in the very will of God into our lives and mold us for a glorious life in the Lord!

Instead of us trying harder, why don’t we trust him more! Let go and let God today,

In Christ
