Praying for Others is Important

“Satan replied to the Lord, “Yes, but Job has good reason to fear God. You have always put a wall of protection around him and his home and his property. You have made him prosper in everything he does. Look how rich he is!”
‭‭Job‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Praying for our family, praying for our friends and others who we know/ don’t know is truly a privilege that God has given us. There are those who question both of the need and impact for such prayer, but we should not people who would think so. The Word tells us about Job who was a man who prayed and had a deep relationship with the Lord. Satan himself tells the Lord, no wonder he fears you, you have protected him and made him to prosper. Indeed, isn’t that why we go to the Lord in prayer, to receive his protection, his wisdom, his provision, his blessings. Even Satan knows that this comes from Job’s abiding relationship with God.

The power of prayer can never be underestimated. There way to many answered prayers for us to think that such prayers are a waste of time. Indeed, we should quickly adopt the attitude we should pray about everything and everyone. It is a great privilege to be able to pray for others. The Lord has called us to be people of prayer. We are not to worry but by prayer and thanksgiving, go to the Lord with every issue of our lives.

Job and many others in the Bible knew the power of prayer. If we want to truly impact the circumstances of our lives and others, we should be praying. Prayer connects us to the glory, the power and the creator of all and he listens to our petitions because he loves us. Find your knees, pray now about your troubles and watch what God will do!
