“And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.”
Hebrews 11:6 NLT
When children trust and obey their parents, those parents have a measure of pleasure in those kids. Often in the Bible we see where someone is tasked to something for the Lord. When that person not only engages that task but does so against great odds and likely persecution, we can be sure God is pleased. You see it is a two fold blessing!
First: the person is obedient. The word says obedience is better than sacrifice. When asked, if we obey, we demonstrate our faith in our Father often for very difficult tasks. Second: when we take on what the Lord would have us to do, we are trusting in his will not our own. Both of these actions demonstrate our faith in our God and it is impossible to please him without faith.
There is first a call in today’s verse then a promise. We must first believe and not just part way, but with a whole heart in our Lord and then he will reward those seek him! Great things are done for God every day. We can accomplish not only large tasks in our lives but also small endeavors as well for the kingdom. When we obey and trust, know that our God is not only pleased, he is moved as you do his will.
My friends there is no better place to be than in God’s good pleasure!
