There are three areas of life where we strive to be accepted. The first is with our selves and when we can’t find acceptance in our own skin we seek acceptance with other people. Now seeking acceptance from others is something we all have done, but it fails to bring us true peace and joy. Which brings us to the third area, acceptance of God. This one presents what seems insurmountable challenges because God is perfect and we are not.
So how does this work out, that I can find acceptance with my creator? Answer is Jesus! God offered his own Son, who knew no sin, to be our offering for our sin. Jesus took on all our sin, all of it and God poured Jesus’ righteousness into us. Now God can accept us, relationship restored. But, without Jesus Christ, there is nothing we can do to earn God’s acceptance. That is what grace from God looks like my friends, true love and acceptance!
With his grace, we can finally be accepted into the kingdom of heaven no matter who we are, no matter what we have done. His grace is sufficient for us all! The great thing about having God’s acceptance, when we have it we will be able to accept ourselves as well. The Struggle to be accepted can be ended, we can free to enjoy our lives in the Lord for he has accepted us! Amen
