Have you ever misplaced something than began a frantic search to find it.? You looked high and low only to discover that it was right in Plain site before you. This can be very frustrating but it can also be very educational if we let it. There is a song that says “Open the eyes of my heart Lord, I want to see you. Today’s verses show us that God is before us existing in his marvelous creation but we often don’t see him.
The very characteristics of God are right before us in the world he created out of nothing. We can see power, balance, color, diversity and untold beauty. His creation whispers his grace and yet shouts out his power. He before us, above us, around us and yet we sometimes question where is God. He is everywhere and even in our hearts. We must open our eyes to the truth of who he is and who he is not. When we look at creation we see his handy work and get a glimpse of who he truly is!
We should not settle for a God of less than the grandeur of all the universe. He is calling to us everyday, come see the splendor of who I am! Open your eyes to the truth and reality of who God is. If you do, you will spend forever witnessing his splendor and love, in awe of the one who saved you!
