Resurrection of Christ

“Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?””
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭54‬-‭55‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Barring the return of Jesus for his church, we believers will have that final moment here on earth. We will take our last breath, feel our last heart beat and then pass from this world into the very presence of our Lord. We stand on the hope that our savior died a real death for us and was buried in a real grave. Then on the third day, he arose from the dead and that grave and ascended into heaven where he now reigns over his church. You see we don’t serve a martyr but a living savior who now resides in heaven awaiting his return for us who believe!

Jesus’ resurrection changed everything! It fulfilled the promise of a Messiah that would come and save mankind. It fulfilled prophecy that said our savior would conquer sin, death and the grave. You see our passing is not the end of our story but the beginning of a glorious new chapter where spend eternity with our Lord. Death had been swallowed up in Christ’s victory and there is no longer the sting of defeat for us in death but our own resurrection in Christ.

I believe we should mourn those we lose but celebrate the victory our love ones who have gained in Christ. God is a God of restoration, renewal, and redemption. Thru the resurrection of Christ my friends we have been redeemed and are now headed to an eternity with Christ, an eternity of victory. You see our final moment here on earth will be our finest moment as we join Jesus in our sweet victory over sin and death!

In Christ
