“Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

There is a simple truth I want all of you to take into the New Year, God’s goodness pursues us everyday. In dark times and sunshine, down times and a case of the blues, his goodness is there to lift us and change our attitudes. The psalm tells us, “surely God’s goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives”. Not just a few days but all the days. Not in certain times of trial but in all our circumstances.
The great thing about our God is his grace and mercy- his goodness towards us. He gives us gifts we could never have earned and forgives us of our transgressions we should be convicted of! He also gives the opportunity to be in his presence forever. No wonder God’s goodness compels men to repentance.
I am looking forward to the days ahead with great expectation because my God’s goodness will pursue us each and every day. With his love being poured into our life, what else could we desire.
