“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”
1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV
Have you ever felt that you were on top of your game, your life only to knocked down by something you did not see coming? I believe we all have had situations where we find ourselves being tempted by something. If we react in the flesh, we will try to stand by our own might, our own confidence and find a way out of our situation with our own abilities. I cannot count the number of times I tried to succeed on my own and failed. Take for example, New Year’s resolutions.
We should instead seek God confidence not our own way. God tells us that he is faithful and will provide way out for us so that we can endure these difficult times. Makes sense to me, trust in the one who totally holy, has unending strength and wisdom. We do not have go through tough situations alone trying to survive with only what we possess. God is there for us and will direct our paths to the better options for our lives.
Be strong in his might, be confident in the Lord and you will know his strength and faithfulness. You will not only survive but you will prosper.
