“Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word. Fulfill your promise to your servant, so that you may be feared.”
Psalms 119:37-38 NIV
Every day is a new experience for us and it holds both opportunities and challenges. Having had the experience of many new days, we should adopt in our lives the proper focus we need to have to be truly successful. Our focus, our attention will determine the course of our days and the goals we have for the future.
Scripture shows us we should turn our eyes, our attention away from the worthless things in life and reset our attention to the real truth of all creation- God’s Word! Our fervent prayer in these new days should be for the Lord to fulfill the promises- his will for us so that it will glorify who he is. Folks we need to recast our attention to the things of the kingdom so that we may see his glory in our lives.
We should seek the answers and the truth that will set us free from the burdens of our worldly lives. That takes us focusing on God’s will not our own. We need to build our future on those things that will not perish but will be everlasting. Allow the Lord to gain your attention and see what good comes forth in the new days ahead.
In Christ
