Our Prayers for Restoration

““But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭15‬:‭22‬, ‭24‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Jesus spent some time teaching about the lost of this world. Why? Because that is why he came, to save the lost. His teachings show us that the Father places a very high value on those who are lost and calls for us who believe to make extraordinary efforts to help find them spiritually.

The story in Luke tells about the Father who waited and prayed over his lost son shows us exactly the Father’s heart to those lost from the kingdom. He prayed, he was expectant of his son’s return and he never gave up hope he would be found. The story tells us that when the son came to himself, to his senses, he realized he was lost and sought to be restored to his father. That should be our prayer in this new year, that which has been lost has been found- that which was dead has been restored!

I believe that our families are in need of such prayer today. Those that are lost to us in the Lord, are restored and are found again. Let us as Fathers, Mothers or just family members be diligent to pray and expect that our love ones are restored to us. Then we two can celebrate for the lost has been found and love ones are indeed alive again! It truly is the Father’s will, let it be ours as well.

In Christ
