When we have a problem, an opportunity that challenges us, we have a chance to test our faith. Numerous times in scripture there examples where people had to step out in faith to unlock the provision of God. The nation of Israel had to put their feet in the rising water of the Jordon River before it subsided. We may have to put our feet into the rushing water of our challenges before we see our God move in our lives.
Effort does not have a major role in our salvation but it plays a huge role in our spiritual growth. We are called to be transformed in our minds but we can only see such change when we step out in our weakness to witness the power of God move. We have the opportunity each day to step out of our comfort zone and grow in the Lord to accomplish his perfect will.
We must face our fear, face our challenges not in our own strength but in God’s strength. The more we step out in faith, the easier it is to trust Him with the next time of growth as our God is faithful. Be not afraid, for God is with you!
