“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:”

We have spoken before about who we are in Christ and why that is so important. Today, we focus on the identity of those who believe in Jesus Christ and are led by the Spirit of God- we are his children! There is supreme significance contained in that statement. We are no longer slaves nor lost souls of this earth, but God’s children. We have gained something so precious in the process, an eternal inheritance. Thus we can call out through our adoption into the kingdom, ABBA Father!
You see contained in the treasures of God’s kingdom, contained in his Holy Word, are the promises of our inheritance- an heir of God and co-heir with Christ! Divine resources have been placed in your heart and spirit. God has given you everything, every talent, every gift you need to become who God desires you to be. You are now his child, bound to the Father of all creation. Need something in your life: need wisdom he has it all, need joy, it’s yours.
We need to understand that our Father has it all: all power, all wisdom, perfect never ending love and all holiness. We are now children of the greatest kingdom ever to exist that no knows no bounds nor no end. God is love, possess endless hope, contains all wisdom and has created everything we can see, feel and touch.
Through Christ you have become a new person, a child of God. It’s time we began to live out our inheritance from God before others. We have been given something so special that words cannot describe it all but our lives can attest to the magnificent gift God has given us- himself!
