Have you had a time in your life, maybe even now, where you struggle with your significance, your self worth? I believe at some point in time, we all have found ourselves questioning whether we have had any real worth and purpose in life. If it is not the world placing you in the system as just another number, it can be the seasons of life that challenge your dignity. We can feel that we lack any real significance and lament our existence in this world.
I have news for you, stop feeling insignificant! Why, because God’s word tells us he not only created us, but he created us in his image. We are made by God in his likeness to rule over this earth. That is no small matter to be crafted into the very image of the creator of the universe and all within it. There are people in our society that hold a position of prominence due to who they are, to what family they belong to. How much more important is the fact we were all made to be like God- the supreme being- and to have authority and a relationship with him. Talk about the best case of name dropping!
When you struggle with self worth, remember who made you and who you are fashioned after. Never doubt you were made for a lofty purpose and that our lives are a journey to be molded into his image. You are special, for you are made in the very likeness of God. Celebrate that fact by living in his grace and love everyday.
