It is truly a blessing to find something or someone that blesses our lives for a season. We can enjoy the friendship and fellowship for that period of time and know that they genuinely cared for us. We often think back to the times we have enjoyed and the experiences we shared with one another. Pondering those times, our only regret may be that such times did not continue and they had an ending point in our lives.
How great would it be if such times of love and fellowship did not end but continued on forever. We could revel in the relationship for years and years with no end. We could count that relationship as one of the constants in our lives and depend on its strength and encouragement forever. Like having the very best of friends in your life eternally.
Well, that’s what our verse tells us today. That Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. The savior of our souls will be firmly entrenched in our lives forever. The love he has that sent him to the cross will always be ours! No more do we have to wonder if someone really loves us, he is with us throughout the ages. The grace that saved us will be with us forever and ever!
Now that is something to shout about today!
