“To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.””
John 8:31-32 NIV
There are a million causes in the world that are being pursued by mankind. Some of these are vastly important while others are truly in the ridiculous state and should not be on any one’s radar screen. One of the most prized causes in the world year in and year out is the goal of freedom. Freedom while being very desirable by those who have it, is taken for granted by those who possess it. Mankind has for ever sought to either to take freedom from someone or to refine that freedom to fit their mold of what it should look like.
True freedom can only be defined by the Our creator who has both the wisdom and the power to understand what it looks like and its intended goal.
We are told by Jesus if that we hold to, believe in his teachings, then we will know the truth and that truth will set us free. True freedom is built upon the word of God. Its intent is to save, set free and redeem mankind back into a right relationship with the Lord God Almighty. There is no condemnation in this relationship and it is given freely by our God.
Something as precious as freedom must have its roots in the very power and holiness of the One who has given it us as a gift, freely given by his great love for us. It cost God dearly but it is free to all mankind. It has the power to break chains of any bondage and to heal any affliction. That produces hope, builds faith and in turn creates love in our lives we never thought possible. Why, because we are free of the curses of life and are now on a course to a glorious future. Trust then in his word to deliver true freedom to your life!
In Christ
