“But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.”
Luke 8:15 NIV
We often may wonder where God is in our lives? We may have not heard from nor seen any real fruit being grown in our walk with him for sometime. The drought in our lives may be due to our unwillingness to accept and being prepared to do what God shows us. Do we have an attitude where we say, God show me your plan then I will make up my own mind if I want to do what you are showing me. We want his presence in our lives but seemingly only when his will matches ours.
If we truly want to grow a harvest for God, we must be willing to accept what he asks of us. Is he not the God of all creation, all knowing and powerful who loves us? So, his intentions are for us to prosper and produce much fruit in our lives. Our hearts ought to be fertile ground that is ready and willing to not only hear his words but to accept them.
If we want to produce for the kingdom, to thrive in all we do, we must be that one who God can give his plans to and know we are willing to move forward on his will, not ours. Great things await those whose hearts are willing to serve our Lord.
In Christ
