I have read more articles and books about how to be healthier in our lives. One facet of all this information is to adopt a healthy emotional life style. When we are not stressed nor anxious we have a much better chance of being happy and healthy. Our verse today shows us Paul’s idea for a way to avoid daily stress and strain. Paul tells us to pray about everything in our lives, every situation. But, he goes on to describe how to pray for all that we need, in thankfulness.
There you have it, one of the most healthiest emotions we as humans can have- being thankful. When we understand the peace and power of being thankful, there is a transformation that occurs in us. We go from being anxious and worried to being at peace and understanding. When we give thanks along with our prayers, we are praising our Lord for all that He has already done for us and all that he will do!
Today give thanks in the midst of your need, in the midst of your day to the one who has given you everything you need.
Our Father’s provision knows no bounds for it is fueled by his unlimited love for us. Give thanks and watch your emotional state get better by the minute!
