No Fear!
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”
2 Timothy 1:7 NLTThe issue of fear, anxiety in our lives is so paramount that God’s Word has alot to say about it. The Word states over 300 times “do not fear” or “do not be afraid”. Fear is a by-product of a lack of faith. We become fearful when we have worries and concerns about issues and circumstances in our lives. God sent a very dramatic and simple message to us all, “God has not given us a spirit of fear – but of power-love – a sound mind!”
Fear is the opposite of those traits God has given us. Fear likes to distance us from others, for we fear having others know us and our issues. Love overcomes such distance in our lives. Being alone in life is not only a great fear for us all, but a real threat to the quality of our lives. God never intended us to be alone. That is why he gave us the tools to dispel fear and live life in love and power. When fear is present in your life, know it is not from the Father but our enemy – satan.
Remind yourself when fear tries to creep into your life, of what God has given us – love and power to overcome and thrive!
