We have on many days spoken of our walk of faith, our fight in the spirit we are engaged in during our lives here on earth. What we need to remind ourselves of on a regular basis is that we my friends are on the winning side. John tells us that we have the victory not because of what we have done but what the Holy Spirit has done who lives within us. The words are powerful, and we need to make them our battle cry – “because the Spirit that lives within you is greater than the spirit that lives in this world.”
We have just celebrated Pentecost and the gift of the Holy Spirit to all believers of Jesus Christ. It is a great reminder of the gift of love God has given to every believer that can sustain us in our walk for the Lord. We should never doubt that the victory has been won. We must still fight the evil in this world every day and we can overcome through the power and wisdom of the Spirit inside of us. God knows what we need, what direction to go and the power needed to strengthen us daily.
The glory of God dwells within us thus giving us the victory. Never doubt that God cares for you because He has already given us two thirds of the God Head for us – His only Son and His Spirit! It is not whether we win, that is not the question to be asked. But what kind of glorious life we can live because of God’s presence in our lives. Stand my friends in the glory of His might and see the victory day by day!
