There are many reasons why we may feel discouraged. We may have to deal with relational issues, sickness, loss, or events that severely impact our lives. The causes may be many, but the solution is very straightforward. During times of discouragement, we are seeking resolution, healing, direction, and comfort. We are seeking for someone greater than us to intercede into our circumstances and bring us relief.
The reasons are many, but the answer is God Himself. No other understands what we are going through. No other has the compassion for us that our Father does. No other can bring us true relief from our circumstances but Him. He pours His unfailing love to us every day. He is with us always and can bring us the resolution we seek. When issues press hard against us, we need to press hard into our Father who truly loves who we are!
Discouragement can destroy our hope, limit our faith and cause us to suffer and quit. Seek the Lord in the midst of your affliction and He will strengthen you, guide you and comfort you. I have seen it with my own eyes. I know His presence changes circumstances and lives so that we can succeed, not just survive!
