We often hear people say they will engage, participate when the time is right. Now timing is important, but it should not keep us from thinking we cannot make a difference in someone’s life. The truth is, there will never be a perfect time, a perfect situation, or perfect resources that we can find to engage in helping others. We should not allow that kind thinking to prevent us from doing good.
That should not prevent us from making every effort to help others. The best effort we can muster is far superior to a story told of our good intentions. The Word tells us that Jesus’ sacrifice forever paid our price and in doing so we are being made holy-perfect, we who love Him. Notice being made not yet perfected. We are on the road to being made perfect through Christ and one day soon we will receive that perfect body and spirit when Jesus comes for us!
Until that day, we should engage in doing for others as best we can when we can. Perfection is the enemy of good and it prevents us from achieving good results in this life. We are imperfect people who serve a great and holy God that intends to use us for His good pleasure. Never believe you cannot make a difference in this world!
