Did you ever do something that you knew brought great pleasure to someone else? If you have, you also know that those acts brought joy to yourself as well. Worship works that way! When we worship our Lord in spirit and truth, with our heart, God enjoys the praises of your worship.. I have found that when I worship God with my whole heart it also brings me great joy.
Worship is giving praise and honor to the one you love, the one who you put your trust in. Jesus told us that true worshippers will do so in spirit and truth. This will be honest and genuine praise of our God not just lip service. God enjoys our praise when we offer him our honest and deep worship of who he is and what he has done for us!
We should enter his courts with praise for he is worthy. If you want more joy in your life, maybe more true worship of God should be on the agenda. Like that someone you enjoy bringing pleasure to, God will enjoy your worship and you will find joy bringing it to him!
