In worldly terms, waiting is a passive action where little is done during the time that ensues. Not so my friends when it comes to the Lord. While we wait upon him, he is working, working to bring his plan of action to bear in our lives. That plan is not only just for us but it is the perfect plan for our circumstances. God invites us to join him in his plan for us by realizing the faith we need for his plan and the wisdom we can gain through the process.
With the Lord, waiting upon him is the time between the promise and its fulfillment. It is a time of growth and learning and a time of building our faith and trust in our Lord. People in general do not like to wait. If we have an issue, we would like resolution now not later. Here is the rub, our timing is no where perfect but God’s timing is! One of the very real benefits of waiting is that we can look back over time we waited and see how the Lord was moving all the time to bring us his perfect will. We may not see signs of God working in our lives but he never stops moving in our issues to affect his great pleasure for us.
God sees all the infinite possibilities of opportunity in Our lives, only He knows which ones to open and when to do so. Waiting upon the Lord is the prelude to life’s greatest blessings. Wait and see the real goodness of our God!
