We all long to be accepted in our lives. Accepted for who we truly are not what others may want us to be or some fad or mold that is not us. People do many strange things to be accepted by others and much of that effort is in vain. There is but one approval that we need in life to be truly accepted.
Paul tells us that Christ has accepted you so that God would have the glory! You see, your acceptance isn’t based on what we do but on the grace of God thru Jesus Christ. Once we turn our lives over to the Lord, the question of acceptance becomes a moot point for he has and continues to love us as we are. No more games, no more hoops to jump thru just a deep and abiding love for you.
The beauty of this acceptance is that we are then free to accept others as Christ accepted us. We truly long to be accepted in this life! Now we can gain that freedom not only for now but forever thru Christ who loves us.
