“The Lord protects those of childlike faith; I was facing death, and he saved me. Let my soul be at rest again, for the Lord has been good to me. He has saved me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.”
Psalms 116:6-8 NLT
We should never forget God’s promises in our lives. What God has told us in the light will not change in the darkness. Our circumstances do not change the character of our Lord but they are an opportunity to see God deliver us even in the darkest times. David cried to God for he faced death yet God saved him. He saved my eyes from tears and my feet from stumbling because my God has been good to me.
Davis realized several things here. First God lives him. Second God is with him. And lastly, God has a plan for his life. Substitute your name for David’s here. Under the threats of life, God will save you if you have faith. He will keep you in the darkness for his promises to you are true. Even when all seems lost and hopeless, God is there to dry your eyes, provide a way and love you every step of the way.
In the midst of our greatest struggles, our God can do his greatest work to heal us, save us and love us. Know the darkness has to give way to light. Our Lord is the light of all creation. He is the cure, hope and salvation in all our situations- seek him today!
In Christ
