Spiritual Growth

“Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Paul told us that we must grow in our faith, in our spiritual walk with Christ. We being of the flesh find ourselves struggling to grow and mature because like anything of substance, it takes work. I have found in my life that areas of my faith I have to repeat again are areas where I have not yet grown in spiritually. I have not put in the work to mature so I am often tossed about until I get serious about my growth in Christ.

You see we Christians often choose to not grow in Christ. We are seemingly happy where we are negligent of the true value and blessings of growing like Jesus. I see three phases of our continuous grow. We must want to grow, desire to more like Christ. We must then decide to actively pursue him daily. Then, we must share our growth with others so that they can witness the goodness of God in our lives.

The phrase above in our scripture that caught my attention was, “we will grow”. This shows our commitment and love for our savior to pursue him all the days of our lives. We all need to mature in Christ so we can walk in his truth and love!
