Be Intentional in Your Faith Walk!

“Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭NIV‬‬

There are endeavors we undertake in our lives that we believe will profit us. If we commit to such efforts we should plan to be faithful, intentional to accomplish these goals not haphazardly attempt them. Old saying: anything worth doing is worth doing right. If are going to undertake efforts to make us better physically and spiritually, we should be intentional about accomplishing our new life goals.

Paul is telling us today two keys to being intentional. First, realize that God is working in you for his good purposes. He has already provided salvation, now he is working to grow you up in that faith. Second, we are to work out our salvation with a reverence and love for God. We cannot earn our salvation but we can be intentional in our love and faith for him. Show me what you are committed to and I will show you who you will become. We make choices everyday, small and large ones that frame how we act and who we are. Make those choices intentionally for God and watch how he uses your faith to move mountains in your life!
