There have been times when I sought advice and counsel but once I heard the word I was given I failed to heed that advice. The reason was I was not willing to do what was needed to fix my situation, I did not have a willing heart. We can be given the best advice, the best direction for our lives yet refuse it due to our willingness to not act on it. How many times have we looked back and told ourselves if I had only taken that advice, gone that direction!
The absolute best advice and direction come God. Yet we either fail to seek his counsel at all on matters in our life or are not willing to act upon what he has told us. A willing heart says to God not only do I want to hear from you but I am willing to do what you tell me to do. You see, great advice is useless unless it is acted upon. The counsel of God is like seed that comes into our life, if we act there will be a harvest that comes with it.
Good ground for harvest is a willing heart that says to God tell me your truth for my life so that I may do what is needed to flourish, to bring a harvest into my life! Are we willing to do what will bring us the bounty of God?
