I remember that when I was in school, I heard a lot about the three R’s, reading, writing and arithmetic. The theory was that three education foundations were the basis of a good learning experience. With these three disciplines, you would be prepared to take on life and succeed.
We should have some foundations in our spiritual life as well. When we come before the Lord in daily conversation, we should apply some principles that allow us to both gain God’s direction but also his wisdom. Relax- find a place where you can be free of distractions and worship our Lord. Take time to wait on him and praise him. Request- let him know the issues of your heart and speak from your spirit in reverence to him. Read- take time to pour over his word. Don’t just read it and move on but take it into your life. Let the word become the very life you live! Respect- this time is sacred so use it to renew your faith, your relationship with him.
Spend time in his presence my friends, you will be empowered to live your days fully. God is our source, seek all of him you can to gain his strength and grace
