“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.”
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 NIV
Fellowship inside the Church of Jesus Christ-or outside the Church, is fundamental to our daily lives. We need fellowship for us to be at our best, to be our most productive. Because we humans need someone to lean into in tough times and to celebrate with in the good seasons. We seek to invest in relationships at work, the gym, clubs, our community and our church. Lest we forget, we should seeking fellowship with our Lord first and those he brings into our lives.
The word is clear, two is better than one. A healthy marriage is a prime example where two different people are brought together to become one. There is power, compassion and peace in a relationship where two have joined in living life together. If one falls, the other is there to pick the other up. God never intended us to be alone. Fellowship is a gift from God to fill gaps in our lives, to help us navigate our days and fill us with memories of true companionship.
We should not forsake the gathering together of the saints or the building real relationships with those around us. It is not where you may go in life but who you go with. Make Jesus and good friends your travel companions. Remember, a three fold cord is not easily broken. That chord is formed by who we trust and care for in our lives so be authentic and compassionate in our lives- Amen !
In Christ
