“The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says: “This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.” Then he adds: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.””
Hebrews 10:15-17 NIVJesus told his followers that he must go so that the great Comforter could come to them. Jesus knew that greater presence, greater coverage of God’s spirit was needed when his church grew. Jesus was bound by physical limitations as to where he could be at any one time. The presence of God was going to be needed in greater abundance after Pentecost, in the very lives of every believer.
The Holy Spirit testifies of the covenant that has been made with believers in Christ and that they have in their possession the will of God, God’s spirit to guide them and strengthen them. The Spirit also testifies that our sins are no longer remembered by the Father. We are redeemed by the blood of Christ and as such been justified before God. We no longer live in condemnation but live in Christ who has saved us.
The Spirit of God now is available to us to lead us and to guide us in our journey in this life. His wisdom is true and complete. His purpose is to create us in the very image of Christ so we can prosper. Seek his guidance today and avoid the pitfalls of this fallen world. Instead of trial and error, let us opt for true wisdom and direction every time in God’s spirit!
In Christ
