There is nothing in all the universe that compares to being loved by someone else. If we have the affection of another person, we have gained one of life’s most treasured possessions. Think about how good it feels to know that someone loves you just as you are. It is truly a life sustaining event that gives us not only hope but purpose.
Now think about the Lord of all the universe and beyond and how He loves you. We have proof of his undying love by our knowledge of the cross and his sacrifice. So great is his love for us- higher than the heavens. The result is he has taken our sin as far as the east is from the west. He tells us over and over again in his word that he will never leave us nor forsake us.
We have ample witness of his love for us not only now but for eternity. Should we not revel in such love directed toward us? Should we not wake every day praising him for his love and mercy for us. The greatest act of love ever is the Son of God going to the cross to die for us! We can never repay our debt but we can love unconditionally the one who gave us such a grand gift. Rejoice in his perfect love for you today and every day!
