“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
Psalms 139:23-24 NIV
Ever had a friendship that you enjoyed and counted on only to see that friendship come to an end due to separation or disagreement. Those kind of moments can be painful as we see something we valued come to an end in our lives. Lasting relationships take work, take commitment and take sacrifice.
God did not create you to just leave you on your own in this life. He is with you always wanting you to be blessed by an intimate relationship with him. God wants us to trust him and have a deep and abiding faith in him. A faith that allows us to ask that he search our heart and lead in his eternal path of grace and love. That we would put aside those things not of his kingdom and seek his will for our lives.
God wants to build in us the kind of trust that allows us to lay the things of this world aside and follow his word into a life everlasting. Imagine, a relationship that lasts throughout time and is so glorious we cannot even think on how great it is. Search me oh Lord and know my heart for my desire is to be yours.
In Christ
