There is a huge difference between being a friend and being a member of the family. When you are family, you can expect to be treated differently than just a visitor. In scriptures, it tells us that God so loved the world , He gave his Son for us. Family should mean something special and these verses tell us that if we have received God’s spirit, we are his children!
We believers should seize the importance of these verses. We are no longer belong to the world but have been grafted into the family of God. You are not only welcomed, but you are loved beyond measure. Now we can call our God “ABBA Father”. That statement should tell us we are truly welcomed into the kingdom of God and that we hold a valuable position in God’s eyes!
