The Blind Will See!

“Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?””
‭‭John‬ ‭9‬:‭35‬ ‭NIV‬‬

In this chapter of the gospel of John, the story is told how Jesus healed a blind man. What is so amazing about the story is how the news of this miracle was received by different groups of people. The religious leaders were not seeking to praise this miracle of God but to find fault with it because Jesus had performed the miracle. Yet ordinary people were amazed at the sightless man’s healing and gave praise for it.

I believe this points not just to the miracle but are our eyes open to the glory of the kingdom. Are we seeing things solely in the natural or have our spiritual eyes been opened to the wonder of our God! Salvation, healing and restoration take place when we’ll finally see our Savior for who he is!

In this verse, the healed man was asked if he believed in the Savior. His eyes had not only been opened physically but spiritually. His faith had now been centered on his deliverer and he was saved. How often are we as blind as this man and cannot see God’s goodness all around us.
