Lord’s Timing:

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I know of few things that cause us more consternation than the issue of the Lord’s timing. We pray as we should to the Father for issues and events in our life to be changed or blessings to be brought to bear. Then, the waiting usually begins. We don’t understand the delay.  Does not God know we need help now!

First, we have developed a sense of timing due to the things we experience in our lives like Amazon delivery time options, fast food drive throughs and no waiting customer service. These services cause us to adopt a sense of timing that is radically skewed and destroys any patience we may have had.

Yet God operates on a much different time schedule. One day to the Lord is like a thousand years. God created time for mankind’s benefit not his. God operates in the past, present and the future simultaneously, seeing the beginning from the end of all things to include in our lives. His timing in our prayers, in our issues is perfect for he does know the whole story.

Why do we expect God almighty to operate in our timeframe based on our limited knowledge? Why don’t we just let God be God and trust that He has our best interest at heart? Didn’t he give his Son for us, so truly He loves us! Pray to the Father then trust He will answer you in just the right moment.
