One of the things we look for in friends is their ability to “get us”. They understand who we are and they are there for us. Good friends are the ones who listen without judgement and support us in our times trouble or loss. They are the ones we can trust.
That brings us to Jesus, the lover of our soul. He was fully man and fully God. As such, he was tempted as we are tempted yet knew no sin. This doesn’t make Jesus a Savior who can’t relate to our trials. Just the opposite! He is the only one who loves you perfectly, forgives completely and will never forsake you nor desert you. Because he endured temptation, he knows exactly what you are going through and then offers exactly the support and direction you need to overcome your trials.
There is One who died for us, intercedes for us and loves us completely. Jesus is the One “who gets us”! Seek him today for the peace we all need and the friend we can truly trust!
