“Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day. For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.”
Psalms 96:1-2, 4 NIV
There are many scriptures that tell us to praise the Lord, but I want to add another reason in mountain of reasons to praise him. Simply put, we are told to proclaim his salvation day after day. Ponder for a moment that If God did not send his Son to earth to live a perfect human life, what then my friends? No perfect sacrifice, no atonement for our sins, no victory over sin, death and the grave. Where would mankind be today looking forward to eternity?
We would have no hope, no Messiah that would come to save us. There would be no God amongst us. The story of mankind would look bleak and devoid of any hope and joy. Personally, what would our lives look like without the rock of Christ to build our lives on?
Fortunately, the reality we live in is that God did send Jesus for us. We are redeemed and bound for an eternity in heavenly places. Don’t tell me we don’t have reason to praise our God. It was by his unmatched love, he sent the Christ to us and saved us all who believe!
